Our most deserving veterans

Lest we forget those who have given the most...

The Full Story

With the onset of the Covid-19 Pandemic and the end of eviction moratoriums the homeless veteran population is expected to increase profoundly this year and into the future.   That means that 37,252 Veterans who’ve sacrificed their well-being and served us proudly are experiencing sustained or ongoing homelessness.  The HUD report does not consider the number of veterans who are undergoing housing insecurity, or intermittent homelessness on a daily basis.

At Sanctuary First Foundation we believe that one Veteran experiencing homelessness, whether it be short-term housing insecurity, or chronic homelessness is one too many.  We provide transitional, sobriety, program-based housing to help our Veterans who’ve protected us, escape the chains of drug and/or alcohol abuse, restore their dignity and self-reliance, and get back on their path to a fulfilling life.
